Tavares Concrete Company, Inc. (TCCI) was formed in April of 1982 by Armando J. Tavares. With a few good men and some long hard days TCCI was able to pour some curb and sidewalks for various builders in the DC Metro Area. Quality work and dedication to service was the key to slow but steady growth of the company.
In the early 1990’s TCCI began slipforming its first curb with a used GOMACO slipform curb machine. Again service, quality and word-of-mouth advertising by its clients and construction partners proved essential to continued growth. Soon TCCI was slipforming median barrier and bridge parapets in addition to performing all other site concrete activities.
By the mid 1990’s TCCI further diversified by performing site and road construction. Initially limiting the work to turn lane construction steady growth again served TCCI well. TCCI has completed projects as a GC on interstates, major secondary roads, parking lots, parks and major sites.
TCCI will always make service and quality the top priorities. We are proud of our accomplishments and look forward to the opportunities ahead. Over the years TCCI has established partnerships with some of the finest construction companies in the nation, together there is no limit to what can be done to serve this community.
